Halswell Butchery and Delicatessen is a locally owned and operated Christchurch business catering to a large range of customers. We not only run a retail shop at 490 Sparks Road, Halswell, but also supply commercial businesses.
We are also registered with the Ministry of Primary Industries as a homekill and recreational catch service provider. This means that we are licensed to process your catch or farmed animals and that we adhere to the regulations set out by the Animal Products Act 1999.

Are you looking for fundraising or raffle products for your School? Sports Team? or Charity? Did you know we offer fundraising bacon and sausages at a really great price which you can then sell for your next fundraising event. Or we can supply meat packs for raffles. Read more here or contact us.
Do you have a farm or livestock? Have you spent hours nurturing your stock and want only the best? If you want to maximise the satisfaction and flavour of home grown, then we can help you with our Meat Processing Services. Whether you choose our own abbatoir or want to use the services of Pete Blanken at Malvern Home Kill (we can book them in for you), we make it easy taking care of the preparation, cleaning, cutting, processing and packaging.
If it’s beef you’re after, we’ll hang it for 6 days to maximise the flavour and tenderness. Use our forms to choose your preferred cuts and package sizes. A beef carcase can be divided into half or quarters for your convenience. For a small additional fee we can create flavoured sausages and saveloys. Why not try out the different flavours in our shop to experience the range of flavours available! We can also make salamis.

FISHERMEN & HUNTERS
Have you had a successful fishing or hunting trip? Look no further than us to take care of your prized bounty. Whether it be fish or game we can take care of the processing.
We can hot smoke your fish and portion package it for you to enjoy with friends and family. For smoked salmon prices start from $25 including vacuum packing.
Game needs to be provided skinned and cleaned in a presentable condition. Please complete our relevant processing form.
